Terms and Conditions:

1. Please note that the above is a rough guideline and does not include a formula for my competition to copy.
2. Working hours are Monday to Friday 7h00 – 17h00. If shorter hours are requested, then loss of production
compensation would apply.
3. We invite you to visit any of the sites we are currently busy on.
4. Prices are subject to our standard terms and conditions.

7. The cost of Security Access cards for complexes will be added to your invoice.
8. Prices for painting walls are based on monotone unless otherwise specified. Two tone or combination colours are
priced separately
9. For jobs running longer than 8 (Eight) days, full time supervision is available. For jobs running less than 5 (Five) days,
competent trained staff are in cellphone contact at all times.
10. Full time site supervision is available on request for smaller jobs, but a standard practice for larger jobs.
11. Rubble removal will be charged as an extra in the final invoice @ R 500 / 4M3. To be discussed. This rubble is only
generated when damp proofing or plastering.
12. This proposal is valid for 30 days.
13. Payment terms are strictly 20% deposit on signature of go-a-head, 70% deposit to reflect by the end of the first week of
starting. The final 10% will be paid into an Attorney’s trust account on the day started and held in trust until final snags
have been singed off to your satisfaction. The cost of this will be for our account.
14. Prices are subject to fluctuations; therefore, on acceptance of this contract, prices will be confirmed with the endorser.
15. Future Interiors cc. contract process is scoped on a per project basis and is not directly proportional to amount of days
required to complete the project.
16. No cutting of plants or creepers.
17. Please clear the wall areas that you would like painted.
18. The wall texture repair after creepers are removed will be priced R 80 – R 150 / m2.
19. Damp @ DPC level can be priced.
20. Should any other problem areas be discovered a damage report and quote would be issued.
21. Tinting charges of non-standard colors will be forwarded to the endorser.
22. All non standard mixed samples cost R 20.00 to R 50.00 for one liter and all standard color samples are free.
23. This contract was generated on the job being done all at once, if selected items are chosen then prices may need
adjusting.
24. All prices subject to final measurements.
25. References available on request.
26. Acceptance of this contract commences our standard indemnity clause, and under no circumstances is Future Interiors
cc. responsible for any loss or damage what so ever.
27. Not responsible for any loss or damage to property or other.
28. Any claims arising may not exceed the initial cost of the job.
29. When high pressure washing the walls, In 5% of cases the existing paint is stripped from the entire wall. In such a
case two options are available:
30. Carry on stripping & re-texturing at an extra cost of R80-R150/m² OR
31. Wash lightly and carry on as per original quoted spec.
32. Only the areas of work quoted on or listed in this contract are included in the total. Anything not listed may be priced
separately at your request.
33. All painting refers to external only, unless otherwise stated.
34. Special colours may need 3 coats, priced as an extra.
35. For curtains which need to be removed and replaced, you may want to have them dry cleaned. For complicated
curtains the best option would be for a professional curtain person to remove and replace them.
36. Cracks are NOT guaranteed.
37. Damp damage is not guaranteed unless we damp proof by removing plaster.
38. Adhesion of previous paint/varnish or other cannot be guaranteed, as this is not our work.
39. All no charge items are available if entire contract is exercised.
40. Boundary walls are not guaranteed from damp because there is no DPC (damp proof course), a plastic layer that stops
rising damp. Unless we damp proof the walls, see below under damp proofing section, 10 or 7 – year guarantee. They
are guaranteed for adhesion of the paint from us, see notes at end contract. “Adhesion of previous paint / varnish
system or other cannot be guaranteed as this is not our work.” in other words we are responsible if our paint
delaminates i.e. turn the flake of paint over and if it’s our paint on the reverse side then it falls under our guarantee.
However, if we turn a flake of paint over and it’s the previous paint then we can’t guarantee the adhesion of previous
work but can maintain with maintenance plan.
41. The origin of cracks often lies deep within the structure of the bricks. We only work on the surface. We are not
responsible for structure of the building and thus we do not guarantee cracks.
42. Water takes the path of least resistance thus it follows the cracks; we maintain settlement cracks as it appears or once
a year. Maintenance plan is available on request.
43. All no charge items, no guarantee.
44. Please do not communicate with any staff members except the allocated site manager or Paul. Any loss or damage
resulting from an instruction to staff will not be entertained.
45. Any access cards purchased from your security will be for your account.
46. Should you authorize us to paint your house, uninterrupted as quoted. Should you choose to watch, add on 50%,
should you choose to help, add on 100%.
47. When damp proofing, the water left in the wall (latent water) may cause bubbles surrounding the damp repair. This
may happen more so where the interior walls are only re-textured not damp proofed. As we have stopped water
getting into the wall these bubbles come back only ±maximum 20% of the original bubbles.
48. To dry walls we can install a pump or wait for water to naturally dissipate.

GUARANTEE
We undertake to repair within a reasonable time after receipt of written notice from you or your authorized
agents, any leakage which may occur in our waterproofing treatment that has occurred due to bad
workmanship or faulty materials. Fair wear and tear and leakage’s occasioned by abnormal causes are
excluded.
The terms of guarantee are further as below:
EXTERIOR HOUSE WALLS:
TEN-year guarantee subject to yearly inspection and installation and upkeep of a service plan.
DAMP PROOFING BY REMOVING PLASTER:
TEN-year guarantee subject to yearly inspection & installation and upkeep of a service plan.
BALCONY WATERPROOFING:
TEN-year guarantee on all waterproofing subject to yearly inspection and installation and
upkeep of a service plan and over coating between year two to three. Only our work is
guaranteed and adhesion of the previous waterproofing system or failure thereof is not our
responsibility.
Structural defects in the slab integrity such as cracks and unseen fractures transferring water
running through the center or surrounding the edges are not guaranteed.
ROOF WATERPROOFING:
TEN-year guarantee on all waterproofing subject to yearly inspection and installation and
upkeep of a service plan and over coating between year two to three. Only our work is
guaranteed and adhesion of the previous waterproofing system or failure thereof is not our
responsibility.
Structural defects in the building’s integrity such as cracks and unseen fractures transferring
water running through the center or surrounding the edges are not guaranteed.
TILE ROOF COATING:
TEN-year guarantee subject to yearly inspection and installation and upkeep of a service plan

Terms and conditions of Guarantee:
1. No liability or obligation of any nature whatsoever will attach to Future Interior CC unless, and until, we
have been called upon in terms of this guarantee in terms of the foregoing guarantee.
2. This guarantee is subject to payment in full, being received by us when due as per terms on the signed
go-ahead page. It becomes null and void if our waterproofing / coating treatment is interfered with by a
third party.
3. Guarantee runs from the final payment
4. Structural weak areas in the waterproofing / house walls are subject to re-coating yearly.
5. Boundary walls are excluded from the guarantee.
6. Boundary walls and sub-soil walls, retaining or walls underground level carry no guarantee. These areas
are serviced to maintain and when, referred = reduced / no charge. Over coating / service of high ware
areas / structural weak areas in waterproofing and walls may be needed yearly
7. All Paint products used by us only carry a guarantee against: peeling, chipping and flaking
8. Areas below damp proof course are not guaranteed
9. The guarantee is subject to yearly inspection and service, failure to call on us to provide the inspection will
void the guarantee.
10. Kindly arrange your free yearly inspection to ensure service scope of works complies for the continuation
of your guarantee.
11. We only guarantee adhesion of the product. The product is guaranteed by the manufacture.
12. The adhesion of the previous paint / waterproofing system is not part of our guarantee, and any damp,
leakage or peeling as a result of the paint / waterproofing system is not included in the guarantee.
13. Damage resulting from structural weak areas in the building are not guaranteed
14. Structural defects / cracks are not guaranteed
15. Damp damage is not Guaranteed unless we damp proof by removing plaster and exposing brick and
securing a long term system on to a solid foundation. Fiber damp system delaminating off the previous
paint is not guaranteed.
16. Bubbles found to be Re-occurring at yearly service intervals to have air-bricks installed or damp proof by
stripping plaster.
17. The guarantee further excludes the following: Previous waterproofing, Wood, Metal work, hail damage,
damp damage and cracks. All no charge items are no guarantee.
18. The aspects we cannot guarantee we could however maintain at minimum cost.
19. Guarantee indicated on the Quote are for the max guarantees for which the application, processes and
products are available on the coldest colors, white = 30 deg c.
20. Guarantee life span is determined by the final invoice scope of works and the Heat in the color chosen by
the client where white @ 30 deg C. = 15 years for tiled balcony and painted house walls and black @ 80
deg C. = 2 years like slate tiles and paint, charcoal @ 70deg C = 3 years, other colors fall between these
extremes.
21. Self-cleaning, hard, brittle, exfoliation paint which will crack will hold it color and temperature thus
guarantee is higher.
22. Soft, flexible, non-exfoliating, non-self cleaning paint is crack resistant and will attract dirt thus produce
higher temperatures (for the same colour as Line item #19 above) thus lowering the guarantee.
23. The guarantee is non-transferable and only applicable to the person who paid for the work.
24. This guarantee is the only warranty, express or implied binding upon us.
